Scoreflex NC is composed of:
- Short, rapid exchange tip (11 mm) with the guidewire exit port distal to the balloon
- Nitinol integral wire (0.011”) is welded to the hypotube and continues to the tip, serves as one of the scoring elements
- The (conventional) 0.014” guidewire exits distal to the balloon and acts as the second scoring element
- Two radiopaque marker bands on the integral wire are aligned to the balloon shoulders
- The dual-wire design of the Scoreflex allows for scoring or Focused Force Angioplasty
- Scoring or Focused Force Angioplasty (FFA) creates a focal stress pattern in a localized region of the plaque
- The high focal stress allows the opening of lesions at lower pressures
- Scoring or FFA opens lesions in a safe and predictable manner
- Calcified and fibrotic lesions
- Lesion preparation for stents, scaffolds, drug-coated balloons
- Ostial lesions
- Bifurcation lesions
- Long diffused lesions
- Small lesions without need of stenting
